A place that has witnessed history

Rumor has it that the space where Zócalo Central is currently located was the guest house of the Spanish conquistador Hernán Cortés. The building where we are is an architectural jewel built in 1890 and since then, it has been witness to the city's historical events.

Location in the heart of the Historic Center

We have a privileged location, with the Zócalo, the Metropolitan Cathedral and the National Palace in front of us. We are in the place where it all began for the great Mexico City, so we are the ideal starting point to explore the treasures of the Historic Center. The Templo Mayor, the National Museum of Art, the Palace of Fine Arts and many other of the city's most important historical and cultural sites are just steps away from us.

Check out our Local Guide to discover everything you can do and visit when staying in Zócalo Central.
